Filmed during the global pandemic, The Akamai Experience represented the strength of the Akamai technology.
Last-minute changes are the hallmark of production, especially during COVID, when lockdowns and travel restrictions could change at any minute. This was when our years of experience came in handy.
3 athletes, 3 build sets, and an 8.000m2 warehouse were the epicenter of our second 100% remote shoot. Colombia has been at the forefront of innovations regarding remote productions. Right when the pandemic started, a team of programmers along with producers and the support of Loma Rental, one of Colombia’s leading camera rental houses, developed a simple yet very professional platform to facilitate remote shoots.
The system rapidly became an international reference, competing against the overly expensive limited Qtakes, allowing internal discussions while having a flawless HQ feed of the set cameras.
Location scouting was extensive, but we managed to find one that served as a 3-set location, and along with our fantastic art department that pulled in long hours, the set builds were completed right on time for the shoot.
